Cancer is a chronic catabolic disease that can lead to weight loss and malnutrition. Malnutrition in cancer can be caused by inadequate intake, changes in nutrient metabolism and a high catabolic inflammatory response, so that adequate nutritional intake is important in suppressing catabolism, weight loss, nutritional status and inflammation in cancer. This study aims to determine the relationship between weight loss, intake, hemoglobin levels, and albumin on the nutritional status of non-digestive cancer patients. The study design was cross sectional with a sample of 28 patients, which were taken by purposive sampling, in the integrated inpatient room, Building A, RSCM. The research instrument used a characteristic and disease questionnaire (weight loss and body mass index), a 2x24 hour food recall form (intake) and medical record data (hemoglobin and albumin) which were then tested using Pearson Product Moment and Spearman (p<0.05). This study found 90% of female respondents with age more than 40 years and cervical cancer (46.7%), most of them had weight loss 5% for 6 months and 46.7% had good nutritional status. The statistical test found that there was no relationship between weight loss, energy intake, macronutrients, hemoglobin and albumin levels with nutritional status (BMI) of patients (p> 0.05). Good nutritional intake, especially protein, will maintain body weight and maintain nutritional status and survival of cancer patients.
