Height is an important anthropometric parameter in nutritional status assessment; however, direct measurement is not always feasible, making alternative estimation methods based on knee height, arm span, and ulna length necessary. This study aimed to compare the accuracy of various height estimation equations against actual height among late adolescent females aged 18–21 years. A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 40 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Measurements included actual height, knee height, arm span, and ulna length. Height estimation was calculated using the Chumlea and Fatmah equations based on knee height, the WHO and Fatmah equations based on arm span, and the BAPEN and Mulyasari equations based on ulna length. Data were analyzed using Repeated Measures ANOVA, Bonferroni post hoc tests, Mean Difference, Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The results showed that all estimation equations differed significantly from actual height (p<0.05), except for the WHO equation based on arm span (p=1.000). Based on MAE and RMSE values, the Fatmah equation based on knee height demonstrated the highest accuracy, with values of 3.4325 cm and 4.1 cm, respectively. Therefore, the Fatmah equation based on knee height and the WHO equation based on arm span may be considered alternative methods for estimating height in late adolescent females when direct measurement is not possible.
