Ownership and Management

Preventif: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat is owned by Universitas Tadulako and managed by the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Tadulako, Palu, Indonesia.

  1. Ownership and Publisher

Universitas Tadulako is the journal’s institutional owner and publisher. The university provides the institutional framework for its publication and continued development.

Ownership of the journal is distinct from copyright ownership of individual articles. Article copyright and reuse conditions are governed by the journal’s License & Copyright policy and the terms applicable to each article.

  1. Managing Institution

The Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Tadulako, manages the journal’s operations, including editorial coordination, submission administration, publication preparation, and communication with authors and reviewers.

Journal management is conducted through Open Journal Systems (OJS).

  1. Editorial Management

The editorial team consists of the Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, and Section Editors.

The Editor-in-Chief oversees editorial standards, the peer-review process, and final publication decisions, except where a conflict of interest requires independent handling.

The Managing Editor coordinates manuscript administration, editorial communication, and publication workflows.

Section Editors assess submissions within their areas of expertise, coordinate peer review, evaluate revisions, and provide editorial recommendations.

  1. Peer Review

Reviewers provide independent assessments of the scientific quality, methods, reporting, and relevance of manuscripts. Their recommendations inform editorial decisions but do not replace the editors’ responsibility for those decisions.

  1. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions must be based on scientific merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, research integrity, and compliance with journal policies.

Institutional affiliation, publication fees, sponsorship, or personal relationships must not determine acceptance or rejection.

Editors with a conflict of interest must withdraw from handling the affected manuscript. Submissions authored by members of the editorial team must undergo independent editorial handling and the same assessment standards as other submissions.

  1. Accountability and Publication Ethics

The Faculty of Public Health and the editorial team are responsible for maintaining transparent journal policies and appropriate publication procedures.

The editorial team addresses complaints, research integrity concerns, and requests for corrections in accordance with the journal’s policies. Matters requiring formal institutional investigation may be referred to the relevant authorized body.

  1. Updates to Management Information

Changes to institutional management, editorial appointments, and contact information will be reflected on the relevant journal pages. Significant changes in ownership or publishing arrangements will be communicated publicly.
