Electronic Archiving and Preservation
Electronic Archiving and Preservation
Preventif: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat is committed to maintaining the accessibility and integrity of its published scholarly content. This policy establishes the journal’s approach to electronic archiving, backup, and continuity of access.
-
Online Archives
Published articles and issues are accessible through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS) website. Readers may browse previous issues through the Archives menu:
https://jurnal.fkm.untad.ac.id/index.php/preventif/issue/archive
The online issue archive provides access to published content. It is distinct from backup systems and independent long-term preservation services.
-
Backup and Recovery
The journal management team is responsible for coordinating backup arrangements with the institution’s technical administrators.
Backup arrangements should cover the OJS database, published article files, supplementary materials, and information needed to restore the journal website. Backup copies should be stored separately from the primary installation, with access restricted to authorized personnel.
The frequency of backups, storage arrangements, retention periods, and restoration procedures must be documented internally. Recovery procedures should be tested periodically.
Confidential editorial records, reviewer information, and unpublished manuscripts must remain protected during backup and recovery activities.
-
Long-Term Preservation
The journal will assess suitable institutional repositories and external preservation services to support long-term access to published content.
Participation in any named preservation service will be announced on this page only after the arrangement and its operational status have been verified. Use of OJS does not, by itself, establish participation in an external preservation network.
-
Continuity of Access
If the journal website experiences an interruption, the editorial team will coordinate with the technical administrators to restore access using available backup copies.
If publication ceases or the hosting platform changes, the publisher will seek an appropriate arrangement for continued access to previously published articles. Any confirmed transfer or alternative access location will be communicated through available institutional channels.
-
Integrity of the Published Record
Published versions must remain identifiable. Substantive corrections, retractions, and other editorial notices must be clearly documented and linked to the affected articles. Such changes must not silently replace or obscure the publication record.
-
Author Self-Archiving
Authors may deposit their articles in institutional or subject repositories in accordance with the license and copyright terms applicable to their articles. Deposited copies should acknowledge Preventif: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat as the original publication source and include the article DOI where available.
-
Policy Maintenance
The editorial team will review this policy when hosting, backup, or preservation arrangements change. Details of verified preservation services will be added when available.
